Dale WI is a small friendly group and draws its members from Marloes, St Brides and St Ishmaels as well as Dale. We meet twice a month on Tuesday evenings in Dale Coronation Hall. Our speakers cover a wide range of topics ranging from “Wood-turning” to “Sailing the South Pacific” and we also draw on the talents of our own members who entertain us with tales of their their travels or demonstrate their artistic skills. In the summer we organise an outing – recent destinations have included the Senned, the Wool Museum, the Carmarthen Recycling plant and the Amazon Warehouse in Swansea – with, of course, a pub meal afterwards. Perhaps the highlight of the year is the Christmas Dinner – we each supply a dish and we enjoy a sumptuous spread with entertainment afterwards.
Why not try us out? We are a motley crew who are good company and are always looking for inspiration from new members. Lifts are available from most areas and you do need to be over 18!
Contact Mary Lewis (president) on 01646 636430 or Ann Barkworth (Secretary) on 636874 if you would like to come along to a meeting as a guest.
