PERKY (Peninsula Enterprise and Resource Kitty)

The Peninsula Enterprise and Resource KittY is a charitable incorporated organisation.

The Object of PERKY, as set out in its Constitution and registered with the Charity Commission, is to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Dale, Pembrokeshire and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

After it was no longer possible to achieve a play area for Dale the trustees of the Dale Play Area Association (CIO) took advice from PAVS and following this the Charity Commission agreed that the Object of the DPAA was sufficiently general to encompass a grant giving charity to use the accumulated funds of the DPAA (CIO) to benefit local people.  All that was required was a change of name to indicate this change of direction.  A Special General Meeting of the Dale Play Area Association was held on 26thJune 2018 when it was agreed that the name should be changed from Dale Play Area Association to the Peninsula Enterprise and Resource KittY.  This change of name was duly registered with the Charity Commission.

The Trustees of PERKY (CIO) are now in a position to receive requests for grants from informal/formal groups or organisations based on the Peninsula that aim to better the quality of life and well being of their members or residents.

PERKY will focus on providing opportunities, to take part in adventurous, cultural, educational, sporting, or recreational activities.  Grants from PERKY are available to support a broad variety of events and activities or the purchase of equipment.  On receipt of a, simple to complete application form, we aim to make a decision about your request within 4 weeks.
